Gary Barlow and Tim Firth's musical adaptation of Calendar Girls has now transferred to the West End's Phoenix Theatre.

★★★★ “a gloriously fun celebration…riotously brilliant”  “dig out your calendar and make a date to see The Girls” - The Mirror

★★ “a soaring, emotional and hilarious triumph” - The Sun

Gary Barlow and Tim Firth’s new British musical, The Girls, based on the true story, the film and the award-winning play by Tim Firth, Calendar Girls, has opened in London’s West End at the Phoenix Theatre.

The ‘Girls’ are played by Debbie Chazen as Ruth, Sophie-Louse Dann as Celia, Michele Dotrice as Jessie, Claire Machin as Cora, Claire Moore as Chris and Joanna Riding as Annie.

The Girls is inspired by the true story of a group of ladies, who decide to appear nude for a Women’s Institute calendar in order to raise funds to buy a settee for their local hospital, in memory of one of their husbands, and have to date raised over £4 million for Bloodwise.

Excellent! Well acted/sung....great comedy aspect whilst addressing many life issues. I m sure the cast gets a standing ovation every night, as they did this night.

Karen Hackney

Fantastic show great cast funny sad and about real people real lives .really good day out ( after the drama of almost not getting to see it ) well worth the journey from Cheshire .

Anne Todd

Great performances from all members of the cast.

Lesley Reynard

Absolutely wonderful. We laughed we cried the cast were brilliant. When photographing the girls for the calendar disrobing was so naturally each member did this with such eloquence. I hope the member who was injured is fine again this was done professionally. Curtains closed no panic leaving the audience wondering and in a good way people spoke to each other building up there on theories on why the curtain closed plus discussions about how brilliant everyone was finding the production. Thank you to all the actors/actress's the production team everyone.... each of you should feel so proud of yourselves. My friend and I will certainly becoming again with more friends who will enjoy every minute of The Girls as we have.
