A Day Bringing History, Pageantry and Sights of London to Life including a Pub Lunch and a Thames Cruise!

Our morning London tour starts with a drive through Westminster, past Downing Street home of the Prime Minister, then on to the Houses of Parliament and the famous Big Ben. The tour stops for a visit inside Westminster Abbey*, site of many royal coronations. We visit Poets' Corner and the tombs of many well-known scientists and monarchs. We also see the Chapel of Henry VII.

We then stop near Buckingham Palace to see the colourful ceremony of the Changing of the Guard**.

Driving through busy streets and past peaceful parks, the tour continues to Piccadilly, home of London's Theatreland. We pass Trafalgar Square with its impressive Nelson's Column and fountains, before reaching our traditional London pub for lunch (with coffee included).

Our afternoon starts with a 'must', a cruise on the River Thames, during which a Thames Waterman will point out the places of interest along the way. We then disembark to continue our sightseeing, visiting the Tower of London. Here we meet the magnificent Beefeaters, clad in their Tudor uniforms; we will hear the legend of the ravens and some spine chilling tales from the Tower's 900 year history. We have even included entrance to see the Crown Jewels, magnificently displayed in the new Jewel House.

As the day ends we drive back through the city of London. We see Mansion House (home of the Lord Mayor of London) and the Great Lady of Threadneedle Street (The Bank of England) and also see St. Paul's Cathedral before commencing our drop-offs.

Please Note: Venues visited on this tour may be seen in a different order than listed.
*If services prohibit a visit inside Westminster Abbey we will visit the Chapter House.
**At certain times during the winter there may not be a Changing of the Guard. On these occasions we will visit Horseguards Parade.
